I was just given your address and wanted to know just what I can find in it ,how to get into it or do I have to pay some one to look up some information for me?  I am trying to find out what happened to an ancestor of mine who was last heard of on July 27,1861 and was in Vir. at the time.  I found that he was with the 8th Reg.Tenn. Infantry .  He said in the letter that they were about to march at dawn. I have learnd that his Com. was to head for West Vir. under D.S. Donelson's Brigade and was at Cheat Mountain Campaaign.  That is all I can tell you. This information is from the Manassas Battlefield Coordinator. As a member of the Oder of the Confederate Rose and theOrder of the  Black Rose, I would like very much to find out were he fell ,if possible, and place a marker there to honor him.
