Hello,
     I own a two story log cabin in Anderson County Tennessee.
   It was build before 1799,& has been in my family since 1902. 
   We are currently restoring it.
     I found in my grandfathers old trunk,which I discovered on the 
  second floor of the cabin  hundreds of letters,receipts & school
  books,  dating to the early 1800's.
     Among these, were receipts where civil war soldiers had stay in
  the cabin. At that time the cabin was a tavern and Inn.
     I also found other papers from during the civil war.
  We open the cabin to the public each fall & have these documents
  and lots of others on display.
